Jacques Jurietti opens July 27, 1880 the "Cercle International" in a building constructed in five months. It is located at the corner of rue Cunin-Gridaine ( President Wilson since 1918) and Sornin.
This Cercle, founded officially on 1 April 1880, will be at the origin of horse races (1875) horse show (1887), the pigeon shooting (1889). In its gambling rooms were played big money – on baccarat, whist, ecarté ...
The Cercle cease its activities in August 1911, on the eve of the First World War.
