Comments: The Jockey Club was born Rue du Helder, towards the beginning of 1834. From the rue du Helder, the Jockey Club was transported to Rue Grange-Bateliere. One hundred and fifty thousand francs were thrown upholsterers, gilders, silversmiths and others to adorn and decorate the temple worthily. A through a large courtyard and a wide vestible, a magnificent staircase leads to the first floor overlooking the boulevard ... right one room to eat and beside a yellow and gilded salon ... the billiard room ... left the reading room.

In the dining room .. everything is comfortable for six francs, was a maitre d´hotel, ten dishes, six valets, no wine and no coffee ....
From five o'clock until five o'clock in the morning, the crowd is great at the club. Whist, piquet, cigar, chat, are steam operated...
