The Burt Co. made 16,000 of the plain mold chips in three denominations in 1964, for C. W. Rice (Oakland, CA). According to the preserved C. W. Rice records, they delivered these chips to 5821 Rosebud Lane #10, Sacramento, California, in 1964. These chips may have been rented out for Monte Carlo/Las Vegas Night type events for different customers.

The Gaming Table (2017) also associates these chips with the Traversi Hotel at 1231 J Street, Sacramento, California. The Traversi Hotel, however, likely closed in the 1940s.
