1125 High Street
Delano, California
Type: Card Room
Status: Closed
Open: 1970

Also called "Gemo's Cocktail Lounge". Owned by James H. Moore.

The attribution of the H&C and small crown chips to Gemo's in Delano is traced to Armin Pfaender's California Chip Guide (2013). Note: the small crown chips were sent to Torrance which is 160 miles from Delano. This may be a mis-attribution.

T. R. King sold 1725 of these small crown chips in five denominations to Jack Swank, 16518 Daphne, Torrance, California, in 1979. Clarence A. Swank (aka Jack Swank), resident of Torrance, was a professional gambler. He was arrested in 1969 in Los Angeles for interstate gambling charges related to horse fixing (see "Archive").

Listing (third from top) from the 1979 Delano Yellow Pages, under "Cocktail Lounges".
