T. R. King shipped 550 of these large crown chips in five denominations to Earl L. Mann [ELM], Earl's Club, 251 No. Mt. Vernon, Lindsay, California, in 1950.

Eastman's Illustrated Guide to California Card Room Gaming Chips & Checks (1998) identifies these chips as being used at the "Blue Front Card Room" at 148 North Sweetbriar, Lindsay, California. Owned by Edmond Miller. This is likely a mis-attribution, stemming from the owner having similar initials.

Left, listing for "Earl's Tavern" (2nd from top), from the 1950 Tulare Yellow Pages, under "Cocktail Lounges". Right, listing for the "Blue Front Card Room" (2nd from top) from the 1957 Tulare County Yellow Pages, under "Taverns".
