| Sables d´Or les Pins was a crazy project. From a crush of this place of natural dunes, give rise to a resort in the image and spirit of the Roaring Twenties. Luxury resort, a paradise for sports, seaside city of Decorative Arts, with hotels, villas, golf, outdoor theatre and casino.
Grandiose project that will not survive to the 1929 stock market crash. From its creation to its peak, the resort will live only four seasons.
The “ Camping House” , was the first name of the casino, which opened July 15, 1927 ( together with the classification of Sables d´Or as resorts and gaming establishments). It opened at Pentecost, overlooking flowered terraces of La Digue de Tamaris.The casino was built in fifty days, totally designed prefabricated. Would be destroyed during WWII , where he would served as stables for the German Troops.The new casino was rebuilt in 1951.All casinos) are - or were - built on the fraction of Les Sables-d'Or-les-Pins.
