The attribution of the H&C-mold "JCF" and "JR" hot stamp chips is traced to Armin Pfaender's California Chip Guide (2013).

From 1979 to 1981 it was the address of "Cal's Casino Club", a licensed card room. From 1981 to 1983, it was the address of the "Branding Iron", also a licensed card room.

The Short Cane Version (SCV) of these TH&C mold chips did not exist until the mid-1970s, making the attribution of these chips to an establishment at this address before 1975 very unlikely.
