| Circulo Mercantil e Industrial de Castellon was born on February 19, 1897 as a result of the merger of Circulo de Artesanos and the Nuevo Casino. The first Circulo Mercantil seat was on Gonzalez Chermá street, number 109.It was in 1909 when it moved to the majestic building at the Puerta del Sol, between Gasset and Falcó streets. During the war he was seized first by the Popular Front, and then by the so-called national forces, who installed there offices and warehouse .And it was in 1950 when they began the negotiations for the reorganization of society. In October 12, 1953 he returned to work at that location so central. The company bought some splendid grounds in 1959, on Avenida del Rey Don Jaime, with facades in the Echegaray and Trullols streets, where were built his new headquarters , inaugurated on December 22, 1969. Circulo Mercantil is a society for recreation, coexistence , charity and social activities. |
