In the 1980s and 1990s, it was Carlsbad's only licensed card room. In 1981, it was managed by Jack Courduff and described as having five tables (see "Archive").

The attribution of the H&C-mold "R & E" hot stamp chips is traced to Eastman's Illustrated Guide to California Card Room Gaming Chips & Checks (1998).
