JOA group.It is considered that the first swimmers arrived around 1840 and housed in private homes. The last quarter of the nineteenth century will see the town grow: hotels are built , but also many villas for the wealthy and the CASINO ( between 1875 and 1900). Horse races are held. In 1909, the municipality males an order to close the casino during the race season. In 1906, the city of Saint Pair was renamed Saint Pair sur Mer, In 1981 the town bought the casino – private management is no longer profitable. The casino buiding remains along the years.
