The casino was founded by Matthias Engdahl and operated for over 20 years with approximately 28 gaming tables and over 80 employees until it closed in March 2004. Cherry Casinos acquired Engdahl Casino in 2004 at which point the Engdahl chips were replace by Cherry chips.
