First mentioning for the casino in Nice is found in a publication from 1863.
The casino has opened in 02.04.1884 owned by Societé Nouvelle du Casino Municipale de Nice, that was substituted in 1908 by Societé Fermière des Casinos de Nice. The building was totally transformed in the period 1939/1940 ( see second photo). In 1940 the government decreed the closure of gambling. In 1941 the casino reopened, but was closed during the occupation of Nice by the Germans and Italians. It reopened in 1945. Ended in 1969.Demolished in 1979
