Changed name from FIESTA HOTEL CASINO to FIESTA RANCHO when Station Casinos bought Fiesta in 2002.

In Las Vegas history, the Fiesta is the first casino the Maloof family owned. It also is the first hotel/casino in North Las Vegas. George Maloof Jr. was the person who had the idea for the family to have a casino in Las Vegas. He is the former owner of the Sacramento Kings and Monarchs. For the Fiesta, the idea was to put a casino away from the Las Vegas Strip near neighborhoods that had higher income levels and property values. The cost for the Fiesta was somewhere between 25 to 35 million dollars. It opened on December 14, 1994. The theme for the resort was Mexican.

On the gaming front, one of the marketing goals was to appeal to video poker players. George Maloof Jr. was known to spend time on the casino floor so he could get customer feedback. One of the additional add-ons was that the Fiesta has a drive-thru sportsbook. It is the only one in Las Vegas.

In 2000, it also became the first casino in Las Vegas to introduce coinless slot machines. In 2000, the Maloofs sold the Fiesta to the Fertita family. George Maloof Jr. used the proceeds from that sale to build the Palms Resort Casino. In 2001, the name of the casino and resort was changed to the Fiesta Rancho to reflect it becoming a Station Casinos property.

Closed due to COVID and never reopened. Demolished in November, 2022.
