| 1890: birth of the spa town of Besancon-les-Bains and creation of the company Compagnie des Bains Salins de la Mouillère ,on the site of Mouillère, close to the Doubs.
Was built a luxurious beach resort including a spa, a casino and the Hotel des Bains, all surrounded by gardens and parks near the station.
The building of the casino started in August 3, 1891 and was completed July 10, 1892.

The Société Touristique et Thermale de la Mouillère (trade name Le Pacha) was
registered 11 July 1966 and manages the games continuously since that year.
Today, downtown, facing one of the most beautiful drives French, the Casino Barrière de Besançon is hidden in the walls of a beautiful XIX century building protected by the monuments of France. |
