In the thirties was made the decision to build a new casino in Blankenberge. The architects Leon Stynen (Antwerpen) and Van Sluys & Speybrouck (Blankenberge) undertook plans for the new complex. A full example of modern architecture. The interior was an art-deco style, typical for 'architecture of fun' after the First World War. The razzle-l'oeil mural remains (the naval battle near Sluis) in the room Saverys , named for the artist (Albert Saverys) itself. Between 1992 and 1995 the casino was completely renovated and adapted to today's needs. ( city site)
