Western themed restaurant, inn, and licensed card room, originally owned by Morris Baker. It had 10 card tables, with all female dealers. Bought by Wil Wilkinson in 1979. It became the "California Grand" (see "Became").
The attribution of the H&C mold inlaid "covered wagon" chips is traced to Eastman's Illustrated Guide to California Card Room Gaming Chips & Checks (1998). Note: Eastman attributes different H&C-mold "covered wagon chips to the "Pioneer Rex Casino" (Jackson, CA). The attribution of the HHL-mold "PI" hot stamp chips is traced to Armin Pfaender's California Chip Guide (2004).
