T. R. King sold 6,500 of the "OP in Elephant" large crown chips in five colors in 1947 and 11,000 of the "J" large crown chips in five colors in 1948 to Max Kleiger, Club Monoco, Ocean Park, California.

Max Kleiger was identified by the 1951 Kefauver Commission as the head of a large southern California bookmaking syndicate. He was the principal owner of the Ocean Park Pier Amusement Corp. and was reported to have a monopoly on skill games operations in Ocean Park from 1940 to 1951, which he licensed out to other operators. In addition to Club Monaco, he owned the Club Del Mar (1910 Ocean Front), and was associated with the Bonzo Club (Ocean Park) (see "Archive").
