ITEM VIEW: CG040588
45 North Sacramento St.
Lodi, California
Type: Card Room
Status: Closed
Open: 1963, Close: 1966

The 45 Club (a bar and restaurant) was owned by Irwin T. Turner beginning in 1946, and later by Joe Bernasconi in the 1950s. It was open until at least 1972, and last owned by N. Sacto.

It is unclear, however, when the card room portion opened and closed. The dates of operation posted above for the card room are traced to Eastman's Illustrated Guide to California Card Room Gaming Chips & Checks (1998).

Listing (3rd from top) from the 1963 Lodi Yellow Pages, under "Taverns". Note that the "Friendly Tavern" and "Harold's Club", which both had licensed card rooms, were on the same block.
