T. R. King sold 1000 of the Mont Clair font large crown "JT" chips in four denominations to Joe Yabes, 401 N. Garfield, Oxnard, California in 1950. Yabes was arrested in 1944 for operating a domino gambling game at 719 Oxnard Boulevard, and again for an illegal Oxnard gambling operation in 1947 (see "Archive").

T. R. King sold 1400 of the Script font large crown "JT" chips in five colors to J. T. Diaz, 613 Oxnard Boulevard, Oxnard, California, on 7/5/1945. Diaz was arrested in 1944 for operating a dice game at 515 Oxnard Boulevard. He had a card table license for the "Club Monte Carlo" (544 South Oxnard) from 1948 to 1951 (see "Archive").

Eastman's Illustrated Guide to California Card Room Gaming Chips & Checks (1998) associates both of these chips with the "Diaz Cigar Store", 515 Oxnard Blvd.,(1937-1949) owned by J. T. Diaz.
