T. R. King sold 1000 of these large crown chips in four denominations to J. P. Brophy & Cunningham, 220 East 4th Street, Santa Ana, California, in 1949. A order card also identifies Brophy as the co-owner of the "Harbor Club" in Santa Ana in 1950.

Joe P. Brophy and Bill G. Cunningham bought the "El Toro Cafe" (220-224 East 4th Street, Santa Ana, CA) and the "Shamrock Cafe" (1824 Newport Boulevard, Costa Mesa, CA) in 1944. In 1950, Brophy paid a federal gambling machine tax for the "El Toro Club" at this address. Its unclear where the "Grower's Club" might have been.
