The attribution of these DiSq-mold hot stamp chips to Truckee and the year is traced to Armin Pfaender's California Chip Guide (2004), who cites Dean Richman as the source of the information.

The "Five Circles Lounge" was briefly open during the early 1980s within the Squaw Valley Lodge, a ski resort. Located in between Olympic Valley and Truckee. Unknown if there was licensed gaming there.
