Type: Card Room
Status: Closed
Open: 1973, Close: 1976

The six L-mold "Fire Side" chips (farther below) were shipped by C. W. Rice to E. P. "Dandy" Baker at 21171 Highway 62, Shady Grove, Oregon, in 1974. Their association with a place named "The Fireside" in California is in doubt.

Eastman's Illustrated Guide to California Card Room Gaming Chips & Checks (1998) identifies "The Fireside" as being at "21 S. 3rd St. Patterson, CA" from 1973 to 1976. This address, however, was the location of "Wally's Aloha Club" from 1963 until 1975, and the "Red Lion Bar" from 1975 to around 1980. Unclear if a place named "The Fireside" ever existed in Patterson.
