Owned in the late 1930s and 1940s by George Fowler Bayne (GFB). In 1951, Vernon Fein was granted a license to operate the card room. The last operator of the card room was Jack Wilson. It closed in 1973 when an explosion caused by a gas leak collapsed the building, killing three persons in the card room, and injuring many others (see "Archive"). Also called "Dukes Card Room".

T. R. King sold at least 1000 of the Large Crown chips in 1940, and 2400 of the plain mold chips in 1941 and 1943, to G. F. Bayne, Duke's Smoke shop in 1940. An 1000 additional large crown chips in four denominations were sold in 1960.
