50298 Highway 99
Cabazon, California
Type: Card Room
Status: Closed
Open: 1959, Close: 1972

Also called "Casino Desert Sands". Originally owned by Donald E. Brimmer and located at the corner of Broadway Ave. & Highway 60. It moved to Highway 99 in the 1960s.

For a while it was Cabazon's only licensed card room after the El Cid Casino closed. It closed in 1972 when the town of Cabazon voted to dis-incorporate as a city. The card room needed to acquire a new license at the county level, which was at that time not possible (see "Archive").
