The Bartenders of American (Santa Monica, CA) ordered 1000 of these large crown chips in four colors in 1947, but T. R. King never delivered them. T. R. King instead sold the chips later that year to the Sun Lee Company (Bakersfield). Staeffler (2009) reports that they were used at the "Bow and Arrow Cardroom" in Bakersfield.
