Attribution of the TH&C chips traced to Eastman's Illustrated Guide to California Card Room Gaming Chips & Checks (1998). The Staeffler Memorial California Card Room Guide (2019) also identifies Aurora Fergeson and S. Everlove as the owners.

At that address until at least 1977 was the "Sherman Card Room". By January of 1979, an H&R Block was located at that address.
