ChipGuide - A Catalog of Casino Chips and Collectibles
ITEM VIEW: CG029436
San Diego, California
Type: Card Room
Status: Closed

The attribution of these chips to San Diego is traced to the Staeffler Memorial California Card Room Guide (2010). Listed as "location unknown" in The Gaming Table (2017). Not listed in Eastman (1998) or Pfaender (2004).

No "Four Ace Club" is found in San Diego directories, although there was a "Four Aces Card Room" in neighboring Chula Vista in the late 1970s and 1980s. These chips, however, greatly predate the opening of that card room. The attribution is in doubt.

Possibly used at the "Four Ace Club", in Streator, Illinois (1940s-1960s).
