First called the "Sequoia Cafe", and then "Sequoia Club" beginning around 1950. From 1950 to 1967, it was owned by Rex R. Van Wyck. In 1967, it was bought by Walt H. Gasper, Dan (Danny) Aka, Andy Hoaney, and Bill Urner. The card room was publicly advertised from the 1960s to the late 1990s. It is still open (as of 2021) at that address, although it has no gaming.
