| These chips were never an authorized chip used in any gaming enterprise of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe. They aren’t samples or sold in the gift shop. The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe operates the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino (the AMC), this operation opened in 1999 and is still operational. The Tribe signed a compact with the State of New York to operate a casino in 1993/4. From then til 1999 there were a number of groups vying to open and operate a casino for the Tribe. I believe one of those entities ordered the chips in question. Over the years a number of people have made inquiries and/or tried to cash them in. They do not have any value and never have. |
