| Casino Windsor and The Northern Belle Casino ran simultaneously for a bit. The Northern Belle was needed while construction was being completed as there was not enough room to house all patrons at Casino Windsor while under construction. Once Casino Windsor was completed, the Northern Belle was shut down.
The Northern Belle:Opened: December 12, 1995,Theme: Mardi Gras, Capacity: 1,500 guests, Amenities: 40 table games, 828 slots, small food court, The Northern Belle was stationary however required a full marine crew of 12 with a Captain, first mate, chief engineer and deckhands who had to be on board 24-7 on 12 hour shifts. |

A frontal view of the Northern Belle, Canada's first riverboat casino, steaming into harbour,is pictured on the reverse side of the 1995 dated Municipal Trade Token issued on December 15, 1995 by the Windsor & District Chamber of Commerce, Windsor, Ontario.
Struck on 33mm blanks, Nickel bonded steel(45,000), gold plated NBS(333), antiqued silver plated NBS(333), antiqued copper plated NBS(333) and pure silver(125)

Shortly after Casino Windsor opened in 1997, they needed more room so temporarily they brought in a riverboat called Northern Belle. This card was issued there but was also used at Casino Windsor.
