In September 2022, Bally's purchased the non-land assets of the Tropicana Las Vegas from GLPI and Penn Entertainment for $148 million.

On May 15, 2023, Bally's made an agreement with the Oakland Athletics MLB team for their new stadium on the site currently occupied by the Tropicana Hotel and Casino.

The Tropicana closed on April 2, 2024. It will demolished to make way for a major league baseball stadium.

The Island of Las Vegas - parrot on one side, silhouettes (possibly calypso band) on the other. Round, 1-1/2" diameter, brass finish but not believed to be brass interior.

Caps and a birdcage-shaped key fob with similar parrot design also exist as part of this advertising campaign.
