| Originally an inn called Gilded Post Coach, the famous and luxury Hotel Hamdorff was opened in 1901 by Jan Hamdorff. The hotel soon gained a reputation as a splendid place for lodging and meeting, attracting a large circle of artists and musicians. A major fire has completely destroyed the Hotel Hamdorff in 1980. Apart from the many diversions and richness of her shows, there was at the hotel a casino with gambling (in the years 30/40 ??) |
