ChipGuide - A Catalog of Casino Chips and Collectibles
St. Francisville, Louisiana
Type: Illegal
Status: Open

The club opened in 1947, burned in December 1949, reopened (the present building) in December 1950, and is still in business (as a restaurant). The chips were ordered by Henry Rosso in 1949 and 1950, shipped to him in Woodville, MS. The order card shows four chip orders in 1949 before the fire and two after the fire (for red and white chips only). The club is literally south of the border, in Louisiana, 18 miles north of St. Francisville.
About Illegal Casinos - by their nature, information about illegal, or unlicensed, casinos is hard to find and difficult to verify. Information presented on the ChipGuide about these casinos is provided as the result of our best efforts but may not be 100% accurate. Even if the information is accurate, gamblers move around and may take their equipment with them; items used in one casino may have also been used in others. Please send verified information about illegal casinos to the ChipGuide so that we may improve our accuracy.
