Two casinos were built from 1881 to 1885 the "Grand Casino" Boulevard Thiers, which closed in 1895, and the "Petit Casino" also called the "La Plage". Gambling was transferred in 1907 to the Casino Municipal to the area named "Pergola", a small wooden building added above the bathhouse.
