The Cercle de l'Industrie is founded in 1867 as a meeting place and leisure of remarkable and rich Roubaix.
The first installation was located in saint Georges Street (now Rue General Sarrin). Between 1880 and 1909 worked at 8 Rue du Curé (where he was the Gaumont Palace, demolished in 1928). It is then transferred to lavish facilities in Grande Rue, with large gambling rooms, living rooms, bar, etc.
