A casino legend In 1912, the Duke of Morny, founder of the seaside resort of Deauville in the 1860s, says Eugene Cornuché, the station manager and Mr. Le Hoc, owner of the casino Trouville, the construction of a new casino the style of the beautiful architecture in order to restore the look great waterfront.
The inauguration took place July 11, 1912 to 1500 guests.
Once the war was over, the station quickly find customers and then the casino hosts the biggest names in the Roaring Twenties: Coco Chanel, André Citroën, the Rothschild family.
The Post-War sees the famous Deauville grow and attract, among others, the British jet set, the crowned heads and big names in finance ( casino site)
The very characteristic Casino de Deauville, all white, today introduced the same
look at its opening in July 1912. From 1960 to 1988, called him a Casino d´Été (Summer Casino) to distinguish it from its "little brother" in Rue Colas (Casino d´Hiver- Winter Casino).
