T. R. King sold around 300 of these chips in four denominations to S. Massion Esq., Midvalley Com. Hospital, 7533 Van Nuys Blvd., Van Nuys, California between 1962 and 1968.

S. Massion is likely a misspelling of Sanford Massien, an administrator at the hospital. The chips were possibly used in charity games to raise funds for the facility (from J. Eric Freedner as told to him by Butch Reynolds).
