William Ostini owned "Ostini's Cafe" in the 1940s and early 1950s. Around 1953, it became the "103 Club", a licensed card room, co-owned by Ostini with Mike and Dave Paoli, and open until 1970.

T. R. King sold 1000 of these large crown chips in five colors to William Ostini, 103 N. State St., Ukiah, California, on 5/5/1945. The order card notes that Martin & Ostini previously used "M & O" hot stamp "Acme" [plain mold] chips.
