T. R. King sold 500 of these zigzag-mold (Noll) chips in three colors to W. M. Weilbacher, 9449 San Fernando Road, Sun Valley, California, in 1969. Weilbacher returned the zigzag mold chips, and had them replaced with 500 small crown mold chips with the same hot stamp.
Interestingly, the hot stamp was originally used on large crown chips made for another customer in Idaho in 1946. The unusual hot stamp was recycled for zigzag/small crown chips for a new customer twenty years later (see order cards). |
