Originally located at 33 South El Dorado Street, and owned by Pedro and Rafael Vallejo. It was raided in 1948, after the city had temporarily suspended all card room licenses. It moved in 1957 to 126 E. Market Street, which was previously the address of the "Pelican Club, which was also a licensed card room.
The attribution of the L-mold hot stamp chips is traced to Eastman's Illustrated Guide to California Card Room Gaming Chips & Checks (1998).
