The Monterey Transit Company (MTC) was a cardroom on a designated commuter train car that traveled from San Francisco through San Jose to Monterey and back in the 1950s. From San Jose Gambling (2020) Ted Ramos.

The attribution of these Small Key mold "MTC" hot stamp chips is traced to Eastman's Illustrated Guide to California Card Room Gaming Chips & Checks (1998).
