"Garden City Billiards" was originally located on Market Street, and owned by brothers Frank and Angelo Boitano, and who later added a single poker table. In 1946, it was purchased by brothers Chris, Nick Sr. and Lou Dalis. In 1950, they were granted a cardroom license and the last billiard tables were replaced with poker tables. The club moved to 360 South Saratoga Avenue in west San Jose in the 1970s. The mountain-chalet style building had been a German Hofbrauhaus restaurant. In 2012, the casino moved and changed its name to "Casino M8trix". See San Jose Gambling (2020) Ted Ramos.
