Mason & Co. sold 800 of these chips in five denominations to Pete Dress, 220 Grand Avenue, South San Francisco, California, on 12/10/1937.

On 1/8/1938, Dress opened "Pete's Inn", a bar at 221 Grand Avenue. Dress also owned the "South City" lunch restaurant at 238 Grand Avenue.
