Restaurant and bar originally located at 3602 Barnett Ave. in the 1930s, it moved a couple of blocks in the early 1940s to 3036 Barnett, and finally to 2734 Lytton in 1959.

T. R. King sold more than 5000 of these small crown chips in six denominations to the Rex Cafe, Joseph P. Saeva, 2734 Lytton, San Diego, California, between 1964 and 1971.
