The "Oasis Cardroom" was a two table card room at 6779 El Cajon Boulevard, owned by Marlin Reed, Dennis Sciotto, and Ron Vallas. Vallas became sole owner in July 1979. He changed its name to the "Oasis II Cardroom", and moved it down the block to 6787 El Cajon, and expanded it to a five-table cardroom (see "Archive").

The attribution of the H&C-mold hot stamp chips is traced to Eastman's Illustrated Guide to California Card Room Gaming Chips & Checks (1998).
