607 K Street
Sacramento, California
Type: Card Room
Status: Closed
Open: 1960, Close: 1961

Also called the "Forty-Niner Club Cardroom". The property was seized by the IRS in 1961 due to the 49er Club's nonpayment of delinquent taxes. Previously "Rainey's Club" (1957 - 1959) was located at this address.

The attribution of the Small Key mold hot stamp chips is traced to Armin Pfaender's California Chip Guide (2004). Not in Eastman (1998).

Listing (bottom) from the 1960 Sacramento Yellow Pages, under "Card Playing Rooms" (Library of Congress). Photograph of the card room (far left), adjacent to the "Gold Nugget Club" (right) from 1962 (Sacramento Library Special Collection).
