T. R. King sold 1400 of these large crown chips in six colors to Herbert A. Smith, Box 269, Ridgecrest, California, in 1954, and in an earlier year.

The attribution of these chips is traced to Armin Pfaender's California Chip Guide (2013), who reports that the chips arrived after the establishment had closed.
