Originally operated by Herbert (Herb) Reimche, and by the early 1950s by J. O Kranick. (Reimche later owned the "Rex Pool Hall" in Lodi, which also had a card room.) Also called the "Red Anchor Tavern" and the "Red Anchor Cafe".

T. R. King sold 1800 of these large crown chips in seven colors to Herb Reimche, Red Anchor Bar, 31 North Sacramento Street, Lodi, California, between 1938 and 1942.
