Most likely personal chips for Nathaniel (Nat) Pendleton (b. 1895 - d. 1967), an American Olympic wrestler, film actor, and stage performer. Between 1924 and 1947, Pendleton appeared in at least 94 short films and features, usually cast as a befuddled good guy, or as a slow witted thug, gangster, or policeman. He portrayed a circus strong man in two of his most prominent film roles for The Great Ziegfeld (1936), and the Marx Brother's feature At the Circus (1939). The hot stamp on these chips may reflect that film identity.
