Originally called the "Cottage Pool Hall" in the 1930s, and later called the "Cottage Cafe" and the "Cottage Cocktail Lounge". It was bought by Edward J. Vartanian and Ray Powell in 1950. Originally located at 114 North Douty Street, and in 1951 moved to 106 W. 7th St, which was the former location of the "Brunswick" which also had a card room. It was bought by Mickey E. Worley, the club's last owner, in 1991.
T. R. King sold 1000 "EWN" large crown chips in 1946 to E. W. Neal, Cottage Cafe, in 1946, another 1300 of the "EV" small crown chips to Ed. J. Vartanian, Cottage Cafe, in 1958. Another 600 "BJ" chips were shipped to the bar in 1977.
